Digitization Requests

The Digitization option via the Libraries’ catalog allows you to request a scanned copy (digitization) of journal articles or book chapters of UNL materials. Before starting, make sure you sign in to your Library account.

Articles:

Once you locate the journal title in our catalog, under the Locations header,

1. click the 'Filter by' option to display a list of volumes available

2. find the volume you want to request from the list provided

3. select 'Digitization' next to the volume you want to request

A new window will appear asking for the citation information:

form includes: chapter/article title, chapter/article author, start and end page, not needed after date, if a full chapter is necessary and the option for comments.

When the Libraries do not have the article you're requesting, we will place an Interlibrary Loan request for you.

Book Chapter:

Find the title of the book in our catalog and then select "Digitization".  A new window will appear asking for the chapter information. If you need more than one chapter, please use the "Delivery" option instead of Digitization.

*Please request one chapter or article at a time, even if they are in the same book, volume, or issue.

According to copyright guidelines, we can only scan a limited number of articles, chapters, or pages per title. For more information about Copyright & Fair Use, see related topics.
