As of July 12, 2021, the library stacks have reopened. You can still request books for pickup, but you can also look for them on the library shelves yourself!

Start by looking up the book in the library catalog (Quick Search).

Sign into the catalog if you aren't already signed in:

Sign in to request items, access your account, and more.

Click on the title of the book you want in the results list:

SCENARIO 1: Books owned by UNL

Under "Locate/Request It," click on "Delivery."

Select your preferred library from the dropdown menu and then click "Send Request."

You will be notified by email when the item is ready for you to pick up at the library.

SCENARIO 2: Books owned by UNO, UNK, or UNMC

Click on one of the options under "Get it from other NU libraries."

Example of catalog entry showing University of Nebraska Kearney and University of Nebraska Omaha.

Next, click "Delivery," select your institution and preferred library, and click "Send Request."

You will be notified by email when the item is ready for you to pick up at the library.

SCENARIO 3: Books outside NU Libraries

If a book shows up in the catalog but is not currently available from any University of Nebraska library, you can click "Request book from another library through ILL" to place an interlibrary loan request:

Fill out and submit the interlibrary loan form. (See the link below for how to set up your interlibrary loan account.)

You will be notified by email when your item is ready for you to pick up at the library.
