Quick Search: Journal Search

To determine if the UNL Libraries subscribes or has access to a specific journal.

  • Click on the ‘Journals’ tab in the Quick Search box on the Libraries’ homepage.
  • Search for the title of your journal (magazine, newspaper, etc.)
  • The results screen will indicate if we have access to the journal and whether it is available in print, online, or in both formats.
  • For a journal that is available online, click on the journal title to view its full record and scroll down to "View Online / Full text availability" to see how you can access it. In many cases, the journal will be accessible from more than one online source.

For example, this journal (Nature) is available from several EBSCO databases as well as the publisher's online platform. Pay attention to the dates of coverage for the various databases.

Click on the source name in the 'Full text availability' list to access the content of that journal.

The Journal Search page also allows you to browse the Libraries' journal collection by subject categories listed on the left-hand side of the page.
