Some (typically older) library resources are not digitally available and are instead preserved on microfilm (reels of plastic film) and microfiche (small sheets of microfilm).

  • The Libraries catalog will specify when an item is on microfilm or microfiche.
  • Most microfilm and microfiche items are located in the lower level of Love North.
  • Because the information on microfilm and microfiche is stored in minaturized form, these formats require special equipment to view them.
    • There is a ScanPro scanner located in Media Services in the Love South Link that will allow you to view and scan/copy portions of the film or fiche.
