Due to physical distancing guidelines, our study room capacity now ranges from one to four occupants, depending on the size of the room.

The Learning Commons at Love Library has 15 group study rooms available. There are also 3 reservable study rooms on the 2nd floor of Love North and 3 study rooms on the 2nd floor of Love South. To guarantee that you can use a room, you will need to reserve it.

UNL students can reserve study rooms for up to 2 hours per person per day.

There are two ways to reserve study rooms:

  • Make an immediate reservation (up to 1 hour) using the touch-screen tablet by the study room door.
  • Reserve rooms online, up to 2 weeks in advance.

Please contact the library staff if you are having trouble reserving a room.

Students using a study room without a reservation will be asked to leave if someone else has made a reservation for that room.

Attempts to reserve a room for over 2 hours will be shortened to 2 hours by library staff.

If you want a quiet place to study but don't need a group study room, rooms 123, 125, and 127 in the Learning Commons are quiet study rooms with individual desks. These desks are first-come first-serve. The entire southwest quadrant of the Learning Commons is also designated as a quiet study area.
