Search for it in the library catalog by the title or author's name.
Digitized
Most UNL doctoral dissertations, post-2009 master's theses and some pre-2009 master's theses have been digitized and are indicated in the library catalog with an 'Available Online' link.
The full-text of the dissertation or thesis is accessible by both UNL and non-UNL users from an on-campus computer.
Off-campus access to the full-text of dissertations is restricted to UNL students, staff, and faculty.
Non-UNL users can view abstract and the first 24 pages of the document.
Print
The print copies are housed in an off-campus storage facility and must be requested for use. The request typically takes a day or two to be fulfilled. Contact AskUs for assistance in placing a request.
Non-UNL Author
Google Scholar is a good place to start, since many universities make their digitized dissertations and theses available online for anyone. (This may not always be the case for older publications.)
If you want to search for dissertations and these from any university related to a topic, look at the ProQuest Dissertations and Theses database.
Typically, if you have a specific dissertation or thesis from another university that you want to read, you will need to work with the Interlibrary Loan department to see if you can borrow a copy from another library.
