This type of error can occur sometimes due to issues with the updating of website security certificates. If you are accessing an online resource via a link provided by the Libraries, you can safely ignore the security certificate error and proceed to the site.

The error will display differently depending on the browser you are using. For example:

Chrome

The screen will say “Your connection is not private.” Click or tap the “Advanced” button at end of the message and then click or tap “Proceed to [site].”

Edge

The screen will say “This site is not secure.” Click or tap the “Details” link at the end of the message and then click or tap “Go on to the webpage.”

Firefox

The screen will say “Warning: Potential Security Risk Ahead.” Click or tap the “Advanced” button at the end of the message and then click or tap “Accept the risk and continue.”

Safari

The screen will say “This Connection Is Not Private.” Click or tap the “Show Details” button at the end of the message and then click or tap “visit this website.”
