Q. Who was Love Library named after and why was it named for them?

In 1940, the Board of Regents announced that Don L. Love, a Lincoln banker, lawyer, and two time mayor, had made a gift of $850,000 to be used for construction of a new library. Groundbreaking for Love Library took place in the spring of 1941.
