If you lose or damage a book, please inform us immediately. Please do not delay reporting it until it becomes overdue. We can extend the due dates of items if you need more time to locate them. However, when items are 14 days overdue, they will be automatically billed to your UNL consolidated bill, and you will need to pay to have the book replaced. You can find the replacement costs listed at https://libraries.unl.edu/overdue-fines-fees#replacefee.

*The charges may be different for out-of-print or more expensive items. Minor damages may also incur charges for page repairs or replacements.

If you are interested in purchasing a replacement item in unused or new condition, or an unused or new edition alternative, please contact a librarian at ask-a-question@unl.edu to check if the option is available.
