The LDRF (Library Depository Retrieval Facility) is a high density, climate controlled archive building located on UNL's East Campus. It houses books that do not circulate frequently, along with materials from the Special Collections department. The low-humidity, cool climate control helps preserve the collection.
In most cases, books and PDF copies of journal articles at the LDRF can be requested using Delivery/Interlibrary Loan. Books can be picked up at any UNL library, while scanned articles are sent electronically.
You can request an appointment to visit the LDRF by calling 402-472-0313. Please call in advance -- it may not be possible to arrange an appointment on short notice. You may be asked to provide a list of materials to be retrieved in advance since the LDRF collection cannot be browsed.
