The LDRF (Library Depository Retrieval Facility) is a high density, climate controlled archive building located on UNL's East Campus. It houses books that do not circulate frequently, along with materials from the Special Collections department. The low-humidity, cool climate control helps preserve the collection.

In most cases, books and PDF copies of journal articles at the LDRF can be requested using the Delivery and Digitization options in the library catalog. Books can be picked up at any UNL library, while scanned articles are sent electronically.

You can request an appointment to visit the LDRF by calling 402-472-0313. Please call in advance -- it may not be possible to arrange an appointment on short notice. You may be asked to provide a list of materials to be retrieved in advance since the LDRF collection cannot be browsed.
