We understand that you may be unable to return materials to the library during this time. Most items have had their due dates extended to August 25, 2020, and will not accrue fines during this time.
If you need to pay your library fines in order to register for classes or obtain a transcript, email LibrariesAccess@unl.edu to get help.
- Books from UNL: 25 cents per day
- Interlibrary loans: $1 per day
- DVDs, Blu-rays, and video games: $1 per day
- Board games: $5 per day
Fines for other items, including course reserves, vary. Click on the link below to see the complete, up-to-date list.
Fines are generally not assessed until the overdue items are returned. You can see your fines by going to My Library Account (for UNL items) or your Delivery/Interlibrary Loan account (for interlibrary loan items).
The maximum fine per item is $10. If an item is more than 21 days overdue, you will be charged the replacement cost if you do not return the item.
