Q. What do the different location codes mean?

A book's location code in the catalog tells you what area of the library it is shelved in. 

Here are the main location codes you will see:

Love Library

• COMMONS New Books - 1st floor South, across from the Digital Learning Center
• COMMONS Pop Fic - 1st floor South, near elevator
• COMMONS Pop Sci - 1st floor South, quiet reading room
• LOVE - Love Library stacks - use the call number locator linked below to find what floor of the library the book is on.
• LOVE Blu-ray - 2nd floor Link (Shelved after the DVDs)
• LOVE Curr - 2nd floor North (Children's and young adult books)
• LOVE DVD - 2nd floor Link (Next to the computer lab)
• LOVE Media - 2nd floor Link (Used for video games and board games - video games are on a rolling cart near the ASKus desk, and board games are near the DVDs)
• LOVE Mfilm - Basement, between North and South sides of the library
• LOVE Per - 2nd floor Link (Magazines and newspapers, shelved near the DVDs)
• LOVE Ref - 2nd floor Link (Next to the DVDs. Reference books cannot be checked out - they must stay in the library)
• LOVE Storage - Basement, between North and South sides of the library - near the microfilm
