Ebook availability varies, depending on the publisher's restrictions. Some ebooks available through UNL can only be read onscreen (no downloading allowed), while others can be checked out and downloaded for a set amount of time. Some publishers allow the entire book to be downloaded, while others allow only a certain number of pages. If you have difficulty accessing an ebook through UNL’s catalog, contact a librarian and we will help you!

To find ebooks in the library catalog (the "Quick Search" box on the UNL Libraries home page), do a search and then select "Available online" from the options to the left of the search results.

Click on an item you want to read. Under "View Online" there will be one or more links with the name of online publisher platforms.

Click on one of these links to access the book.

If you are looking for Kindle/Nook ebooks to read, the Lincoln City Libraries have a large ebook selection (you will need to sign in with a Lincoln City Libraries card). You can also check with your hometown public library to see if they offer ebooks.
