You can renew a book (or other library materials) in several ways:

  1. Come to the service desk at any UNL library (you do not need to have the item(s) with you) and ask to renew your item(s).
  2. Call any of the UNL libraries and ask to renew your item(s).
  3. Login to the library catalog and renew your item(s) online.

To renew your items online:

1. Click on "UNL Library Catalog" on the UNL Libraries home page:

2. Click on "Sign In" at the top right corner of the screen:

3. Sign in with your credentials:

4. Click on your name in the top right corner, then click on "My Loans":

5. You will see a page listing the items you have checked out, with a link to renew them.

Follow the links below for additional information on renewals.

To renew Interlibrary Loan (ILL) items, you can come in to the library or call us as described above.  You can also renew the item(s) online by logging in to your Interlibrary Loan account. ILL renewal is not immediate - we need to contact the owning library to request a new due date. You will get an email once your item has been renewed. (Note:  Not all interlibrary loan books can be renewed.  The sticker on the front of the book will indicate if this is possible.)
