Yes, many faculty and staff members on both campuses can have materials sent to them through our Delivery/Interlibrary Loan service. The service requires a Delivery/Interlibrary Loan account for placing requests.  These are the buildings and departments which currently support this service:

City Campus:

  • Anderson Hall
  • Andrews Hall
  • Burnett Hall
  • Center for Great Plains Studies in Hewit Place
  • Center on Children Families and the Law
  • College of Business Administration
  • Hamilton Hall
  • Manter Hall
  • Oldfather Hall
  • Sheldon Museum of Art
  • Woods Art Building

East Campus:

  • Barkley Memorial Center
  • Beadle Center
  • Hardin Hall
  • Home Economics Building
  • Leverton Hall

Off Campus

  • Engineering College at the Peter Kiewit Institute in Omaha

You must be affiliated with a department located in one of these building to be eligible for this type of delivery.  When you register for a Delivery/Interlibrary Loan account and select a department from one of the designated locations, you will automatically be identified for building delivery.

More locations are being added, so check with the User Services desk for more information at 402-472-9568.

Both UNL materials and interlibrary loan items are eligible for building delivery.  Once the request is processed and the item is pulled, loans are delivered to the building delivery location within 1 business day.

Another option is to have materials sent to from one UNL campus library to another to be picked up (e.g., from Music to Love).
