Geneology questions can be very complicated and time-consuming, and there is not always a single, right answer. Below are some resources and places to go for help. 

UNL Yearbooks: Special Collections has digitized every yearbook in UNL's history. If someone graduated from this university, they are almost certainly going to be in these yearbooks. 
UNL Archives and Special Collections: The Archives is responsible for keeping track of papers, journals, and effects of distinguished alumni. 
- UNL Digital Commons: A online repository of works published at UNL, including Ph.D. and Master's theses. If you are looking for the published work of a UNL alum, this might be a good place to look. 
- Nebraska State Historical Society: This is a much better place to look if the relative is not an alum of UNL (for example, if they are simply a famous or noteworthy Nebraskan).
